Aktuell gibt es unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten für Kooperationen mit der regionalen und überregionalen Industrie, u.a. in den Bereichen Data Science, Parallel & Distributed Computing, Smart Environments und Künstliche Intelligenz.

 Derzeit sind bei der IDV AG (in München oder im HomeOffice) mehrere Stellen
für Werkstudierende (ab dem dritten Studiensemester) zu besetzen.


Kooperationen z.B. in Form von Praktika, Bachelor-, und Masterarbeiten, Drittmittelprojekten und Verbundpromotionen sind (auf Anfrage auch mit anderen Firmen) im laufenden Semester und während der vorlesungsfreien Zeit möglich.

Sie können unter meiner Betreuung selbstverständlich auch mit nicht-industriellen Organisationen (Partnerhochschulen und Universitäten) kooperieren oder ein OTH-internes Forschungsthema im Rahmen Ihrer Bachelor- oder Masterarbeit (bzw. Verbundpromotion oder im Hauptseminar/Projektstudium) bearbeiten.

Literaturempfehlung

Das Buch "Higher Order Components for Grid Programming" ist eine von Prof. Sergei Gorlatch und mir überarbeitete und aktualisierte Fassung meiner Doktorarbeit von 2008 mit zahlreichen Ergänzungen u.a. zu Map/Reduce im Cloud Computing. Erhältlich ist es u.a. bei lehmanns und amazon.com.
Ein Review ist 2012 im Zentralblatt Mathematik erschienen. Ich empfehle das Buch allen, die sich für Grids, Clouds, High-Performance Computing, komponentenbasierte Software und Middleware Technologien interessieren.
Beachten Sie auch die online verfügbaren Software-Beispiele auf den Seiten der Universität Münster und der Globus Alliance.
Das Buch ist in der Hochschulbibliothek verfügbar.
